Sony released video teaser of a new feature called “DOT SWITCH”. The dot switch website says that it is “New entertainment from Sony”. Dot Switch looks like an Universal Remote app to operate all your IR controlled devices. Sony planning to release Xperia Acro and Xperia Acro HD on 21st February 2012 both of them have infrared capabilities.
My Android crashed while trying to install custom kernel ( my own )and I am forced to use my 8-Years Phone, Nokia 1600 . It is a phone with no fancy features,you can make/receive calls and exchange text messages but I still want to use Facebook on this stone-age phone. Finally I figured out a fancy way to do this.

1.Prerequesties

2.MySQL Installation
Installing MySQL is fairly easy on ubuntu just issue the following commands one by one and follow on-screen instructions to secure your MySQL installation.Second command will secure your MySQL installation by blocking remote root access and removing test database.
sudo apt-get install mysql-server mysql-client mysql_secure_installation
3.PHP Installation
Cherokee runs using CGI version of PHP and is also capable of running in FastCGI Mode.The following command will install php-cgi as well as php-mysql extension.
sudo apt-get install php5-cgi php5-mysql
4.Install Cherokee
Cherokee with Frontend Cache enabled is extremely fast in serving static content.Following command install cherokee along with cherokee-admin,libssl,streaming and rrdtool to visualize your traffic.
sudo apt-get install cherokee cherokee-doc libcherokee-mod-libssl libcherokee-mod-streaming libcherokee-mod-rrd
5.Cherokee Admin
You can fire-up Cherokee’s easy to use Admin GUI using the following command.
cherokee-admin -b &
A password will be shown for ‘admin’ user.Point your browser to http://yourip:9090 and login with generated username and password.

Amazon finally revealed their diminutive new 7-inch Android tablet Kindle Fire. It is very similar to Blackberry playbook except Kindle fire runs on Latest version of Android and less number of physical inputs.
Kindle fire will cost you $199 with 1 Year warranty and free cloud storage for all your Amazon content. It is definitely a good deal when compared to other android tablets. It is powered by 1GHz dual core processer with 512MB RAM and 8GB internal storage.

You won’t be able to use Google’s Android Market for now on this tablet as Amazon replaced it by their own Amazon appstore.It comes with Amazon’s new ultrafast web browser, Amazon Silk.

Facebook announced Timeline, a crazy look at everything that has ever happend in your Facebook. Facebook Timeline is still in beta and available only for Opengraph developers for now.
Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to enable new Timeline feature.
1.Enable Facebook developer by visiting Facebook Developers and Authorizing the developer app

2.You will be automatically redirected to Facebook Developers dashboard if not click here

3.Create a New Facebook app with any name of your choice

4.Navigate to ‘Open Graph’ settings in left sidebar

5.Define an action for you application and click on Get started

6.Click through all three pages of settings
7.Goback to your Facebook Home screen and you should see an invite to use new Timeline feature.
That’s it you just enabled Facebook’s new Timeline view
You must be logged in to your Facebook account to do this
Only other developers can see Timeline view for now
You may need to verify your Facebook account using your Mobile number
